Synopsis: The Battle of Korunai is a space battle fought between the Tayvan Royal Space Force and combined fleet elements of Estillian and Listiccan Space Forces during the Namic Wars (6045 - 6057).
The
last battle of an admiral and star nation hero, this story is about the
defining space battle of the age. A truce breached, two great space armada
wrestle to command the space lanes. The battle is decisive and victory sound,
but the hero of a civilisation will die in its defence.
The
space combat is the most decisive in Tayvan space force victories of the war.
Less than 30 ships (led by Admiral Dax aboard Legacy) defeat more than
30 ships (led by Admiral Leonap aboard Symayne) near the Korunai Cluster
in Listiccan territory. The combined Estillian-Listiccan fleet lose more than
20 ships without the loss of a single Tayvan vessel. This victory confirms
Tayvan space superiority more than a hundred years in the making.
Admiral
Dax is mortally wounded during the battle but becomes one of Tayvan's greatest
war heroes. Admiral Leonap, the commander of the combined Estillian-Listiccan
fleet, is captured with his ship. The Listiccan Admiral Genter escapes with the
remaining elements of the fleet but suffering severe wounds.
